Welded pipe caps come in a wide range of sizes, typically with diameters from DN15 to DN1200, corresponding to imperial dimensions of 1/2 inch to 48 inches. Some national standard caps range from DN15 to 100 mm.
Wall thickness grades include SCH5, SCH10, SCH20, SCH30, SCH40, STD, Sch40s, Sch60, Sch80, XS, Sch80s, SCH100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160, and XXS, with SCH5 to SCH160 being the most common, and STD and XS being frequently used. In terms of working pressure, national standard malleable cast iron pipe caps can reach 1.6 MPa. Oval pipe caps range in size from approximately DN25 to 600 mm and are mostly used in medium and low pressure pipelines.
