Description
The shallow form keeps the vessel end shorter than a comparable elliptical or hemispherical head, which can help when equipment length is limited. dished heads are made from carbon steel, stainless steel, SA516 Gr70, or SA516 Gr60. Depending on diameter and plate condition, we use hydraulic pressing, cold spinning, or hot spinning. The formed rim is trimmed, the flange is checked for fit-up, and the weld edge can be left square or prepared with a bevel. Openings, orientation marks, pickling, passivation, polishing, or coating preparation may be completed before packing. On repeat orders, flange height and edge condition are kept consistent so the vessel shop can use the same assembly routine.
