Pressure Vessel Heads

A vessel head shapes the end of a pressure boundary and affects shell length, internal capacity, nozzle clearance, and the final circumferential weld. Pressure Vessel Heads may be elliptical, torispherical, hemispherical, conical, spherical-cap, or flat-bottom designs. We manufacture them in carbon steel, stainless steel, SA516 Gr70, and SA516 Gr60. Regular sizes can be pressed on 315T, 500T, 1000T, or 1200T equipment, while larger or less common profiles can be cold or hot spun. Trimming, beveling, opening work, surface preparation, and identification marking are completed around the approved vessel arrangement. The finished flange and diameter are checked together because a small mismatch can slow shell fit-up on the fabrication floor.

• The crown forms the main curved pressure surface.
• A knuckle or transition section joins the crown to the shell-side flange.
• The straight flange provides room for alignment and welding.
• Openings, reinforcement pads, lifting points, and temporary supports may be added to Pressure Vessel Heads when shown on the fabrication drawing.

Our production floor is divided into raw-material, pressing, spinning, finishing, inspection, storage, and shipping areas. Cutting machines, CNC grinders, beveling equipment, welding stations, material analyzers, dimensional instruments, and non-destructive testing tools are available within the same workflow. This matters on multi-vessel orders, where tags, materials, opening positions, and inspection records must stay linked from plate receipt through packing. Export marks and document sets can also be arranged by equipment number. A single contact can follow the order from production release through final packing.
