Description
The crown follows a smooth elliptical curve and reaches the straight flange without a sharp break, leaving a workable edge for the circumferential joint. elliptical dished heads can be made from carbon steel, stainless steel, SA516 Gr70, or SA516 Gr60. Depending on plate condition, diameter, and thickness, we use hydraulic pressing or cold and hot spinning. The press line includes 315T, 500T, 1000T, and 1200T equipment. After forming, the rim is trimmed and the flange is corrected for shell fit-up. Bevels, openings, orientation marks, pickling, passivation, polishing, or coating preparation can be completed before dispatch.
