Description
The cap has a curved crown and a cylindrical edge that follows the connecting pipe diameter. A stainless steel pipe cap may be pressed for regular dimensions or cold and hot spun for larger and non-standard sizes. After forming, the rim is trimmed and prepared as a square end, butt-weld bevel, or machined edge. Pickling, passivation, polishing, matte finishing, openings, and direction marks can be added. Tools, work areas, and protective handling are selected to reduce surface contamination during grinding and finishing. The final surface is covered again before packing, particularly when the purchaser has specified a polished or clean-service interior.
